So ambitious the planning, so successful the implementation: punctually on 28th June 2008, the indoor experience park Sensapolis opened its gates on the Flugfeld construction sites 39 and 43. Since then thousands of enthusiastic visitors have come to see this "city of 1,000 adventures" – games, science, action, and food and drink for children, teenagers and adults.
With this games and adventure paradise, Alexander Schreibeisen jr, who simultaneously fills the roles of creative director, investor and managing director, has successfully launched a pilot project that will be expanded across Europe. He and his investment group Alexandria Immobilien have invested around 30 million euros in two hectares, creating the first 70 or so jobs in Flugfeld.
Sensapolis offers a new kind of experience, learning and entertainment concept that could well be unique in Europe. A fairy-tale castle, a pirate ship and a hyper-modern giant spaceship invite young and older visitors alike to make fabulous discoveries. The innovative interior life of the spaceship has already caught the interest of Paramount Pictures.
Action fans will enjoy Germany's largest indoor sliding area. And in the 1,000 square-metre edutainment area, children and adults can experience how our world works in an enjoyable way.
The food and drink area "SensaResto" with 560 seats and front-cooking stations offers high-quality, organic cooking using food from the region. "SensaResto" is also available for catering and supporting events – a real highlight for company, club and family festivities.
And the success story continues: Alexander Schreibeisen jr is already planning the expansion of the 48-metre high-ropes course and many other sensations. A visit is always worthwhile...
